It is incredibly important that new cafe owners get behind the bar with their staff. I will work with you to help you learn coffee & bar basics. We will get your hands dirty so you feel comfortable & confident training & working with your staff!
New Cafe Consulting
We will work together to do everything from designing bar flow to picking products & equipment to training and more! I can give you as much or little guidance as you need & want. This is great for people new to the industry or people who have been in the industry a while!
Who am I and how do I know what I’m doing?
My name is JJ and I have been working in the specialty coffee industry for three years. In that time I have been through two Specialty Coffee Association courses leaving me with with four certifications. I have certifications in growing and processing coffee, brewing, and two levels of barista skills. I have worked in three new cafes (>1 year old) and own my own coffee cart in a permanent location. I have worked in the hostility industry for five years and have a passion for connecting the two worlds. I want to help customers have the best experience by giving them the best cup of coffee and best hospitality.
